NEDAP's hotline provides free information, legal advice and referrals to community groups and lower income NYC residents. 

The hotline advises callers about their rights in the following areas: 

 
            • Credit reports
            • Discriminatory lending practices
            • Trade school scams
            • Prepaid debit cards
            • Payday loans, check cashers, pawn shops
            • "Debt relief" and "credit repair" scams
            • Sending money home (remittances)
            • Abusive debt collection

The hotline does NOT provide information on:
