Past Event Highlights
February 22, 2012: NYC Town Hall Meeting with the CFPB
The federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau presented a public Town Hall meeting with CFPB director Richard Cordray. The Town Hall was an opportunity for New Yorkers to speak directly with the head of the new watchdog agency about a wide range of financial justice issues.
Summer 2011:
NEDAP Film Series: More than 150 New Yorkers joined NEDAP as we showcased the films Inside Job, on the origins of the economic collapse; Battle for Brooklyn, about the controversial Atlantic Yards project; and Whose Barrio?, on gentrification in East Harlem. Screenings were followed by discussions with the filmmakers, community activists, and journalists.

September 23, 2009: Thanks to all who came out for NEDAP's reception at the Queens Museum of Art, featuring Damon Rich's exhibit, Red Lines - Housing Crisis Learning Center.

Fall 2008 & Spring 2009: NEDAP launched its Brown Bag Lunch Series, featuring informal presentations and discussion on emerging financial justice topics.
April 14, 2008: NEDAP convened the second conference on Promoting Financial Justice for Immigrant New Yorkers. Click here for information and conference materials.
May - August 2007: NEDAP presented the first annual Community Economic Justice Film Series, in association with Downtown Community Television Center.
February-June 2007: NEDAP presented the 10th Annual Community Reinvestment Workshop Series for community groups and advocates, on topics such as Immigrant Financial Justice Organizing, Resources for Women's Economic Justice and the High Cost of Credit in Low Income Communities.
March 6, 2007: NEDAP participated in the national launch of Americans for Fairness in Lending, a national campaign to raise awareness of abusive credit and lending practices and call for re-regulation of the lending industry.
December 7, 2006: NEDAP's 10th Anniversary Celebration! Thanks to everyone who joined us for a great party, where we also honored several allies and supporters.
