New Yorkers for Responsible Lending (NYRL) is a state-wide coalition that promotes access to fair and affordable financial services and the preservation of assets for all New Yorkers and their communities. NYRL is committed to fighting predatory practices in the financial services industry through policy reform, education and outreach, research and direct services.
The Immigrant Financial Justice Project works with community-based organizations to promote the rights of low income and undocumented immigrants in the financial services system, and to expose predatory practices that target immigrants for overpriced and abusive credit. NEDAP convenes a working group of New York community organizations to press for policy reforms in the financial services realm that remove access barriers for undocumented immigrants and eradicate abusive credit practices leveled at all low income immigrants.
