Mapping & Research
NEDAP provides mapping and research services to community groups working for economic justice in New York City. Mapping and research are available on a sliding scale basis, with costs depending on the time involved in the work and the budget of the organization.
NEDAP provides geographic information systems (GIS) computer mapping support to community groups and coalitions working for economic justice in New York City neighborhoods. Since the Financial Justice Mapping Project was launched in 1997, NEDAP has generated color maps of numerous New York neighborhoods. Check out some examples in our Map Gallery.
NEDAP conducts policy, legislative and corporate research for community groups in New York City, using data from many sources, including the Census, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, and other financial data. NEDAP can also help groups with Freedom of Information Act requests in support of community organizing. Visit the research page to learn about the full range of data support we can provide.
